
It may interest you to know that the Nysc scheme was established in Nigeria on the 22nd may 1973 by the then Nigeria's former Head of State Gen. Yakubu Gowon
One
of the scheme's objectives is to inculcate discipline in Nigerian youths by
instilling in them a tradition of industry at work of patriotic and loyal
service to Nigeria in any situation they may find themselves.
An integrity corp member is one who participates effectivelly in
the four cardinal programmes of the Nysc scheme which are the Orientation
course, place of primary assignment (PPA), Community development Services (CDS)
and Winding up/ passing parade (POP).
An integrity corp member is one who will leave a good lagacies in
his or her place of primary assignment.
An integrity corp member will always do the right thing at all
times even when nobody watches him or her.
An integrity corp member will not gives fault excuses just to
avoid morning physical training, lectures, parade and other activities on camp.
An integrity corp member is one who will not lobby for posting, he
or she will accept his or her posting in good fate.
An integrity corp member will get his eyes off his comfort zone
and try what God have for him/ her else where.
An integrity corp member will always have the interest of our dear
country Nigeria at heart.
An integrity corp member will not steal or fight.
An integrity corp member is one with integrity.
An integrity corp member is one with the spirit of team work.
discipline, puntuality, and Unity.
As an integrity corp member, you will encounter challenges,
because if there is no challenge the will be no champion . Do you want to be a
champion? if yes then you must be ready to face challenges, after all God never
promises that the road will be easy but he promised never to leave or forsake
us.
Be aware that as an integrity corp member, failure will come but
the same way that it comes we should see to it that it goes, therefore as an
integrity corp member do not excuse failure for any reason on any account.
My Fellow corps members I am glad we all serve our dear nation
with integrity, please as you step into the larger world, think of how you will
affect the unborn generation positively.
